G Wedding Directory would like to thank Chantelle & Jess for allowing us to publish their story.

Many thanks,

Andrew & John.

Chantelle and Jess first met through a mutual friend. Chantelle was drunk so didn’t remember the first time they actually met. So after being set up on a double date we literally fell head over heels in love.

Chantelle proposed to Jess in the early hours of the morning when she returned from a holiday with her mum and niece... and she said YES!

We were originally going to wait a few years but then we decided we didn’t want a big do so why wait and save thousands which would could use building our lives together.

We were booked at Bar EightyEight in Southport but 7 weeks before the day the venue went into liquidation. The Vincent Hotel stepped in, happily honoured the prices for us and nothing was of too much trouble.

Chantelle has an eye for detail so she wanted to have free reign to decorate the room herself.

Helen and Clare - our events coordinators kept on coming in asking did we need any help.

The wedding prep was going wrong but the girls at the Vincent kept reassuring us not to panic everything will be fine on the day. Which they were right.

At one point during the reception the fire alarm went off, but everyone just laughed it off and blamed it on Chantelle’s late mother Sandra “making herself known she was still there with us”. It was such a magical day and we cannot thank the staff at the Vincent for their impeccable hospitality and making us feel so welcome.

Since planning the wedding, Chantelle has now gained a Diploma in Wedding and Events Planning and started her own business called Fairytale Wedding and Events.
