Natalie & Helen's Dean's Place Wedding.

This months real life wedding feature kindly supplied by Deans Place Country Hotel & Restaurant

With its exquisite setting you will find it hard to find a more romantic Wedding venue than Deans Place Hotel, Alfriston, Sussex. And, to add to this exclusivity we only host one wedding per day so you can be assured of our very best and personal attention.

In the summer, for an outside garden wedding, exchange your vows under the gazebo in our Wedding Garden, then have your photos taken on our pretty riverside bridge with magnificent views across the sweeping South Downs, followed by an alfresco reception on the terraces in front of the hotel. In winter, make yours a candlelight ceremony in one of our elegant private rooms, followed by a sumptuous feast, with blazing log fires in our bar completing the picture.

G Wedding Directory would like to thank Natalie & Helen for allowing us to publish their story.

Many thanks,

Andrew & John.

We picked our wedding venue as we both loved the idea of getting married outside and felt the grounds of Deans place suited what we wanted perfectly. We also had the option of the ceremony being held inside if it was raining however we were lucky enough to have sunshine on the day.

We chose not to see each other on the day of the wedding and did not have any contact following a family meal at the venues restaurant the night before. Helen enjoyed a relaxing morning with her head bridesmaid while Natalie spent the morning dressing the reception tables.

It was important to us that our families all had a part to play in the day and that the people closest to us attended the ceremony. we both had four bridesmaids one of which came all the way from Australia and all did a fantastic job of keeping the brides apart.

We chose not to see each others dresses before the day so meeting at the end of the aisle having been walked down by our fathers was the first time we had seen each other.

After the ceremony we choose to have a BBQ as our wedding breakfast with music playing throughout which we had both picked. In the evening further guests arrived and we had a DJ and photographs of us and our friends and family projected on to a big screen.

We had a theme of lobsters for our cupcakes and home made traditional Jamaican rum cake as lobsters mate for life (and in reference to a quote from friends about Ross and Rachel)

The most important thing for us was having memories of our day which is why we chose to have a photographer, videographer and photo booth.
