FUN GAY WEDDING IN LONDON

Paul and Richard found me on Google when searching for ‘gay friendly wedding photographer in London’. Their engagement shoot was in the Southbank along the river on a remarkable day. It was the Festival of Love, when the Southbank to celebrate the year of same sex marriage, created an event where all couples, gay, straight, young and old could get married on the stage of the iconic Royal Festival Hall in London.

THE WEDDING

Their wedding, a beautiful Christmas affair was celebrated at the Islington Town Hall on 20 December 2014.

A glorious grade II listed building that has retained much of its art deco interior. The Council Chamber, where the ceremony took place, is a large room filled with natural light thanks to the glass dome. It is located in front of the impressive Town Hall’s marble staircase.

THE PARTY

One thing for sure, I totally loved every minute of this wedding – fun, free, and happy, with so much love in the air. The Christmas spirit was all around, smiling faces everywhere, twinkling lights, and dancing people. There was a “make me feel good” atmosphere that elevated everybody’s spirit – the ceremony in a bright sunny room, the go-around London double-decker tour, the colourful gastro pub in Holborn, The Square Pig – everything in this wedding was just perfect. Ah! I nearly forgot the grand finale, the hilariously funny drag queen.

This wedding really put me into a festive mood. The very sweet, Paul and Richard, were so emotional that happy tears were contagious amongst the guests, including myself.

Thank you Paul and Richard for making me part of this special day.
