Abby And Georgina
Why did you choose Rise Hall as your wedding venue:
We chose Rise Hall because it stood out immediately as a stunning venue. It had a refined, traditional feel, with plenty of space and a real sense of privacy, which was exactly what we were looking for. The building and grounds were beautifully maintained, and there was a quiet elegance to the place that we didn’t find elsewhere.
Other venues we considered just didn’t compare — they were either smaller, less impressive, or didn’t feel as well looked after.
We actually came across Rise Hall by chance; it appeared in an advert while we were in the middle of our venue search. We looked into it further and quickly realised it ticked all the boxes.

What was your experience with the team at Rise Hall?
The experience genuinely was unmatched. The service was outstanding, and we are over the moon we were able to provide that for our family and friends. Not having the chaos of who’s ordered what. Everyone getting their food at the same time it was seamless. Nothing was too much. Kim even cleaned my wife’s wedding dress when she got it dirty.
What was the vision for your dream day?
Our vision for the day was classic and traditional. We wanted something timeless — a style that would still feel elegant and relevant when we looked back on it years down the line. It was important to us that our photos didn’t feel dated, so we steered away from trends and focused on simplicity, tradition, and subtle detail.

Did you have a vision for what your wedding outfits would be like? anything you thought you would like but didn’t?
Given the traditional and elegant theme, I opted for a classic navy tuxedo, which felt fitting for the setting and the tone of the day. Georgina had a clear vision of the dress she wanted from the start. She did her research, found the nearest stockist that carried it, and made the trip to try it on — it was the perfect choice
What special touches did you add to your day?
We wanted our guests to feel comfortable and looked after throughout the day, so we made sure to include a few thoughtful touches. We left deodorant and perfume in all the bathrooms so people could freshen up if they wanted to and provided flip flops for those needing a break from their shoes. We also had a selection of our own favourite cocktails available at the bar, which added a personal touch.
To set the mood, we arranged for a live saxophonist to play as guests arrived — and later in the evening, the sax joined the DJ for a great party atmosphere. We ended the night with a fireworks display, which was the perfect way to round off the celebrations.

What menu options did you have for your special day?
For food we had a few options because there is nothing worse than not being able to choose! both main course options are also our favoured meats.
Starter: King Prawn Cocktail with Buttered Trout & Smoked Salmon, Horseradish Marie rose.
or
Roasted Plum Tomato Soup ratatouille, pesto oil.
Main: 21 Day Dry Aged Beef Fillet with Shallot & Roast Garlic Butter
Or
Roasted Rack of Yorkshire Lamb.
Dessert: Trio of Desserts - Mini Eton Mess, Milk Chocolate tart & Mini Sticky Toffee Pudding.
What did you love most about your wedding day? Do you have a specific memorable moment?
Honestly, the entire day was everything we could have hoped for. From start to finish, every moment felt special — it truly was a dream from beginning to end.

If you had to do it all again, what advice would you give? What’s important, what isn’t?
We don’t have a single regret about our wedding day. We definitely went all out, but we feel that only added to the overall experience. Even the small details — like having deodorant and perfume available in the bathrooms — were worth it, especially on such a warm day. Every element mattered to us because we wanted it to be an incredible experience not just for us, but for all of our guests as well. We are so grateful to everyone who contributed to our dream day!
