Frankie and Vicki’s wedding ceremony at Beaumont Hall

From the moment I had the very first contact with Vicki and Frankie, I knew that we were going to get on like a house on fire and that if they chose me as their Celebrant, we were going to be able to create something so special and memorable and magical.
I was so pleased to find out that they felt the same way!
As a gay man myself, celebrating queer love is so important to me and giving queer couples the freedom and space to express their love and commitment to each other is one of my many joys in life. As a singer anything music related is also right up my alley!
Frankie and Vicki met when they were both performing in a touring production of the stage show SIX the Musical so of course we had to make reference to the origins of their love story during their ceremony and there were lots of nods towards their love of music and everything musical.
Their connection was electric, their willingness to share their love was effortless, and their enthusiasm to spend their rest of their lives together was palpable. This made writing their ceremony so easy for me, we were able to pack it full of love, laughter, sentiment and personality. Their vows were fun and heartfelt, and their exit music was ‘You’re My Best Friend’, which is a mantra I am so convinced they will say to each other every day.
I wrote this to be used following their exchange of rings:
‘These rings may be small, but like a perfect melody or a resonant chord, they carry powerful meaning. They are the encore to the vows just spoken, symbols of the rhythm and harmony that you have created together. Just like a singer and a guitarist bring different sounds to the same song, you bring your unique gifts to a shared love story. And now, with these rings, you are writing a lifelong duet—one that's full of heart, soul, and hopefully only the best kind of riffs!’
