As an LGBTQ-owned wedding supplier, it bothers me that LGBTQ weddings are not represented enough in the mainstream wedding media and that is something that I’m trying to change!
With an amazing team on board, we were able to create a romantic wedding with rustic touches and just a little bit different to the normal traditions.
The venue; The Lost Village of Dode is a beautiful old church steeped in history and character. It’s an inclusive venue with acres of beautiful land for those important wedding shots and even a luxury room for the happy couple to stay after the big day!
Our celebrant Dave Octave brought the ceremony to life and had us all in stitches of laughter. The ceremony was full of love and joy, what more could you ask for on your big day!
For this shoot We had a brownie stack instead of a wedding cake provided by The Cake Cavalier which was decorated with colourful fresh fruit!
The uber elegant suits were provided by House of Cavani and were adorned with handmade felt buttonholes from Charlotte Laurie Designs.
The décor was provided by myself, all either sourced second-hand or handmade from reclaimed wood. A huge emphasis on sustainability is always an important focus for any of my shoots and it was the same here. All the props and décor were chosen to be reusable. Including the table settings and artificial florals. The rainbow-coloured candles and hydrangea in bud vases really brought the whole LGBTQ Flag theme together for our tablescape.
Thank you so much to our real model couple Dominic and Nathan for bringing all the love for this styled shoot.
